Minnesota Care

What are the qualifications for Minnesota Care?

The first requirement is that you must have a social security number and live in Minnesota. You can be a U.S. Citizen or non citizen legally living in the United States. You can be an adult without children living with you, or your have to be over 21, you must have lived in Minnesota for 6 months. You cannot have any other health insurance currently, including Medicare, for at least four months. You cannot be eligible to receive insurance through an employer who will pay half of your monthly cost. Some children may qualify for the health insurance. A representative from Minnesota Care will follow up after reviewing the application.
